Load Balancing, adalah teknik untuk mendistribusikan beban trafik pada dua atau lebih jalur koneksi secara seimbang, agar trafik dapat berjalan optimal, memaksimalkan throughput, memperkecil waktu tanggap dan menghindari overload pada salah satu jalur koneksi.

Tapi perlu diingat, pada Metode Load Balancing ini, bukan berarti penggabungan Bandwidth 1+1 adalah = 2 tetapi bagaimana cara agar mengoptimalkan, membagi beban trafik secara bergantian atau secara berbeda-beda. Misal kan sobat ada dua buah ISP masing-masing memiliki bandwidth 1MB dan ISP satu lagi memiliki bandwidth 1 MB, bukan berarti 1MB + 1 MB adalah 2 MB tapi bisa kita bagi misal, ISP 1 akan megampu permintaan ke koneksi Internasional, sedangkan pada ISP 2 akan mengampu pada koneksi internet lokal, atau IIX. berikut di bawah ada contoh konfigurasi pada mikrotik :
